Policies 2007 - 2008

Tuition:

Group: $70/mth
Sibling: $115/mth for (2) siblings (non-private)
Private: $60/hr

Group lessons are 30 minutes. Private lessons can be 30 minutes or 1 hour.

1.Tuition is due at the first lesson of the month. If payment is received after the 15th of the month, tuition for the next month will also be due at that time. Monthly tuition is due and expected unless you are dropping the program. If you miss the first lesson of the month please make arrangements to mail tuition to my studio address below.

2.Tuition is computed on a 42-week yearly schedule (except for private lessons). Basically, we have 10 weeks spread throughout the year where there are no lessons due to Thanksgiving, Christmas, instructor illness, tour schedules etc. The number of lessons per month will vary depending on holidays, vacations etc. Most students receive more than the allotted 42 lessons a year as our teachers generally don’t used up all of their vacation time (we like to save a couple weeks in case of emergency). Monthly tuition will be the same no matter how many lessons are scheduled for the month. Every two months, you will receive a calendar regarding the schedule of classes for the upcoming months. There are no prorated tuitions.

3.All students must pay the full monthly tuition regardless of the lessons missed. Any family withdrawing must pay full monthly tuition to the end of the month in which they withdraw. If you plan on going on vacation, we may put you on vacation status during which you don’t pay tuition. However, we cannot guarantee that we can hold your time slot. If you wish to be put on vacation status, we ask that you inform us two weeks in advance.

4.Makeup lessons. Because of the nature of the class structure and studio rental charges, which are usually based on time scheduled and not on the presence of students, it may not be possible to give makeup lessons. However, due to the size of the program, there are suitable opportunities for makeup classes. Again, we are not obligated to give a makeup class. If there is not a class at the appropriate level to make up a missed group lesson a private lesson will constitute 2 missed group lessons. Please give at least 24 hours notice if you are going to miss a class. If a time has been scheduled for a make up lesson and the student misses the lesson that lesson is forfeited.
